Growing with purpose
Hi, I'm Shannon
I offer holistic, neuro-affirming support for children, teens and adults. Combining 25+ years of professional experience with lived expertise, I partner with you to build practical, strengths-based pathways for growth. Every journey is guided by connection, trust, and a deep respect for each person’s unique strengths, needs, and story.
What is a Developmental Educator?
A Developmental Educator is a specialist who supports children and families to thrive by focusing on strengths, individuality, and real-world growth. We work holistically, considering the whole child—their skills, needs, goals, and experiences—while offering practical, compassionate strategies for home, school, and community life. As a neuro-affirming professional, I recognise that neurodiversity and disability are natural parts of being human, rich with potential. I partner with families to build connection, confidence, and wellbeing, offering personalised support that respects each child’s unique voice and journey. Together, we create pathways toward meaningful progress, resilience, and a strong sense of belonging.
Developmental Educators in Australia, one must complete the recognised university degrees and be registered with Developmental Educators Australia Inc. (DEAI).
