What to Expect When Working With Me
I work with people of all ages to support their goals in a way that celebrates their strengths and unique abilities. Many of the individuals and families I support are neurodivergent, experience mental health challenges, or have a history of trauma.
My approach is neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, and client-led. I prioritise creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive space—particularly for neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ individuals. Therapy with me might look a little different from what you’re used to, sometimes creative or “out of the box”, but often that’s where the best progress (and the most fun!) happens.
Your first session is a 60-minute Exploration Session.
In this session, we’ll:
Get to know you—your strengths, interests, needs, and goals
Explore what support might look like for you
Answer your questions and outline your next steps
After the session, you’ll receive a written support plan, and you can decide to:
Follow the plan
Request changes
Pause or choose not to move forward
If I’m not the right fit, I’ll help connect you with someone who might be.
Each plan is tailored to your individual goals and preferences. We’ll always consider what’s important to you—whether that’s structured sessions, no formal appointments, telehealth, play-based therapy, training for those around you, or something else entirely.
Your plan may include:
Online therapy sessions
Referrals to local or in-person supports
Practical tools, resources, or assistive technology
Training for family members, teachers, or support staff
Assessments if needed
Plans are flexible—if things change, we can adjust along the way.
We’ll meet to review how things are going and talk about what’s next.
You may choose to build a new plan or take a break—whatever feels right for you.
